Pensioner's Day guided tour of the exhibition (in Latvian)

Event location Riga Castle
Date 04.11.2026
Time 12:00
Description: The exhibition “The Lāčplēsis Military Order” provides a comprehensive overview of the concept and establishment of the Lāčplēsis Military Order, the awarding of the order, the design and production of its insignia, the award ceremony, and other traditions associated with Lāčplēsis Day. It also includes a section on the recipients of the Lāčplēsis Order and the Association of Recipients of the Lāčplēsis Order, which not only looked after the morale and financial well-being of the recipients but also worked to preserve the Order’s traditions even after the awards were discontinued in 1928. The Association carried on the Order's traditions in exile in the West, when the events of World War II scattered and decimated the number of the Order's recepients. See additional info
